Noémi Schlosser

Noémi Schlosser is an international theatre and opera director and coach.


She graduated under Dora van der Groen & Tony Award-winning director Ivo van Hove at

the Antwerp Conservatory in Belgium in 2001. Between 2004 and 2018 Schlosser was the Artistic Director and founder of the “Salomee Speelt Theatre Company” a multidisciplinary music-theatre company juxtaposing theatre text with other art forms mainly opera and dance, inviting composers, choreographers, filmmakers, installation artists to create groundbreaking performances. Schlosser produced, wrote, directed, and acted for over a decade within the company in Europe, Israel, and the United States.


Her Off-Broadway debut in 2011 with ‘MOSCOW-NEW YORK’ (inspired by the life and work of

Isaac B. Singer) got her a year-long residency in Chicago with ShPieL (with the support of

Lookingglass theatre, the NYTW & Theater J) where she created several productions.

In 2014 she writes TRAKTORFABRIK inspired by the war diaries of Russian journalist and dissident Vassily Grossman, where she brings a light installation as a 4th actor on the stage with an electronical soundscape. This production was supported by the European Union and toured internationally. Schlosser transitions completely from theatre to Opera and joined sa founding member of ‘The Ministry of Operatic Affairs’a Belgium-based independent traveling Opera.


Schlosser has since directed internationally and is currently preparing new stagings for Flavio/ Haendel, Il Trovatore/ Verdi, Jenufa/ Janacek, Lucia di Lammermoor/Donizetti

Mathilde di Shabran/ Rossini and The Magic Flute/Mozart.


Schlosser coaches both singers and actors privately as well at the Buchmann Mehta School of Music (TAU) and at the Jerusalem Academy for music and dance. She also directed at several Summer programs faculty including the Jerusalem Lyric Opera and is thrilled to join the Prague Summer Nights.
