Arts Administration

Prague Summer Nights offers aspiring arts administration professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in both opera and orchestra this summer abroad in the Czech Republic. Arts Administration Apprentices will assist closely with preparation of three major orchestral concerts and fully-staged productions of Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni in the Estate Theatre. Prague Summer Nights is seeking applicants with qualifications in the following fields:

  • Marketing and Social Media

  • Orchestral Operations & Library

  • Opera Production 

Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter along with their application. Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Qualifications

PSN is seeking applicants interested in learning more about the field of Arts Administration. Applicants may be currently enrolled in an arts management degree, but this is not required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and ready to deal with unexpected challenges. Additional language skills preferred.

Tuition and Fees

The 2024 Prague Summer Nights Arts Admin Apprentice Program is Tuition-Free.

All participants must pay the accommodation fee of $1,395 which provides 30 nights of  housing in Tábor and Prague throughout the festival.

Program Highlights:

- Gain experience producing an opera in the Estates Theatre, one of Europe's most important and historic venues.

- Learn how to manage a large-scale international music festival, including scheduling, , artist services, and logistics.

- Live and work in two beautiful Czech cities, Tábor and Prague.

- Assist PSN's world-class faculty and guest artists and develop your professional network.
