
PSN’s opera program offers performances in operas with full orchestra, singing in an opera scenes performance, and a Cabaret Night. Receive coaching and vocal training from PSN faculty.

Vocal Academy will receive personalized coaching and voice lessons from PSN faculty and will go on to perform in all four opera performances. Academy students will perform featured roles in the opera scenes performance and sing in the festival’s Cabaret Night.

The orchestra program provides opportunity for instrumentalists to participate in up to 10 performances in Tábor and Prague, including three symphony concerts, a chamber music concert and six opera performances, four in the historic Estates Theatre. Sectional coaching from festival faculty and clinicians, participate in masterclasses, and perform side-by-side with festival faculty and clinicians, including instrumentalists from leading European orchestras.

Assistant conductors will conduct scenes in the opera scenes performance, and participate in the preparations for the operas, conducting in both opera staging and orchestra rehearsals, as assigned.

Assistant coaches will be assigned to an opera and will assist faculty coaches in rehearsals, working side-by-side with singers to assist with preparations. They will accompany singers during the opera scenes performance and the cabaret night, as well as during voice lessons.

Assistant Directors will be assigned to an opera, working closely with directing faculty to assist with the preparation of PSN’s opera productions. They will also have an opportunity to direct scenes in the opera scenes program and concert.

The Arts Administration Program aims to provide students practical experience on the logistical and operational needs required for the successful completion of an international summer music festival in Europe.
