Joachim Schamberger

Stage Director

A returning PSN faculty member, Joachim Schamberger serves as Director for Don Giovanni at PSN 2026, following his work as director of Die Zauberflöte for PSN 2025. Schamberger is an internationally acclaimed opera director and video designer whose productions have appeared throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. He currently serves as Director of Opera at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, where he leads opera productions and training for emerging artists. At Prague Summer Nights, Schamberger brings a strong commitment to opera education, working closely with singers on dramatic storytelling, stagecraft, and professional preparation.
