Timothy Cheek

Returning to PSN in 2026, Timothy Cheek is Associate Professor of Vocal Arts at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where he serves as music director for opera workshop, instructor of lyric diction, and vocal coach. He is especially known for his expertise in Czech opera and diction, playing a central role in preparing singers for Czech-language repertoire within the Opera Scenes program. His collaborative coaching and linguistic specialization are integral to singers’ preparation and performance at PSN.
