Program to include the world premiere of Greg Sandow‘s The Remembered Song for string quartet, commissioned as part of the Eric Daniel Helms New Music Program by Classical Movements .

To celebrate the Fourth of July, the program will also feature works by American composers Bernstein, Barber and Gershwin, as well as Dvořák’s “American” string quartet. Pieces by Smetana, Mozart, Beethoven, Nielsen and Hindemith are programmed as well.
