25 Sep PSN20: Don Giovanni & Le nozze di Figaro
Classical Movements is pleased to announce that our 2020 Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival (June 15-July 13) will feature fully-staged, professionally-directed productions of two of Mozart’s most beloved operas—both Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Figaro—at the historic Estates Theatre featuring the famous Josef Svoboda sets, as well as professional costumes from the Czech National Opera.
Don Giovanni debuted at Prague’s Stavovské Divadlo on Monday, October 29, 1787, the only theater still standing where Mozart, himself, conducted.
The Festival Orchestra will be highlighted with a dedicated chamber music program and its very own performances at the esteemed Mahler Festival in Jihlava as well as the gorgeous Dvořák Hall inside the famous Rudolfinum.
For our sixth summer in Tábor and Prague, Prague Summer Nights’ highly-regarded Opera Scenes Program will focus on repertoire from celebrated Czech composers as well as all time classical favorites, including:
