Dr. Thomas J. Duffy

Dr. Duffy serves as Professor in the Practice of Music at the Yale School of Music, where he is also Artistic Director of the Ellington Jazz Series and Conductor and Director of the Yale University Bands. Widely respected as a composer, educator, and conductor, he has worked extensively in symphonic, wind, jazz, and chamber music settings, and is known for his commitment to contemporary music, collaboration with living composers, and interdisciplinary artistic leadership.
